Madera County Museum Free Open House with Refreshments

The Madera County Museum will hold a special free Open House on Sunday, June 1, from noon to 4 p.m.

In addition to free admission, free refreshments will be available.

The Open House will kick off the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Madera County Historical Society.

The Society was founded in 1955 and opened the Museum in the Old County Courthouse in 1974.

The Museum now has about 21,000 curated items and two-dozen rooms of historical memorabilia and photographs.

The 125 year-old Courthouse is on the National Register of Historic Places,

The Museum is at 210 West Yosemite Avenue in Courthouse Park in downtown Madera.
