‘Tis the season for peppermint! If you love all things minty, try these other amazing dessert recipes: peppermint meltaways, peppermint cheesecake, or peppermint candy cane brownies!

Easy Homemade Peppermint Patties

These homemade peppermint patties are a delicious treat that is perfect for any time of year. (But especially the holidays!) They’re made with just a few simple ingredients and are easy to make from scratch. The peppermint filling is creamy and flavorful, and the chocolate coating is rich and decadent. You’re going to love every bite!

These homemade peppermint patties are better than store-bought ones because they are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. This means that they have a more intense peppermint flavor and a richer chocolate coating! (And they’re easy to customize, so use your favorite type of chocolate!) These delicious treats are the perfect addition to any Christmas gathering.

Ingredient List

It only takes 6 simple ingredients to make these tasty holiday treats. The filling is so pillowy and delicious, you’re going to love it! All measurements are in the recipe card at the end of the post.

Sweetened Condensed Milk: Any dessert made with condensed milk is a winner! This is what makes the filling creamy and delicious.

Peppermint Extract: So the patties have that cool, minty flavor.

Powdered Sugar: Helps hold the filling together and makes it nice and smooth. It also adds sweetness to balance out the minty flavor.

Semi-Sweet Chocolate: Coats the patties and makes them irresistible.

Coconut Oil: This gets mixed in with the melted chocolate. It makes it easier to dip the patties in and gives them a nice shine.

How to Make Homemade Peppermint Patties

Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the sweetened condensed milk and peppermint extract to a large bowl and beat with a hand mixer until combined.

Mix in Sugar: Add 4 cups of the powdered sugar and mix on low speed until the powdered sugar is absorbed. Increase the speed and beat until smooth. If the dough is sticky, add the remaining ¼ cup of powdered sugar. More powdered sugar may be necessary, depending on the humidity of your climate. The dough should be a soft playdough texture, but not be sticky at all.

Shape Dough: Dust a clean surface with powdered sugar and roll out the dough until it is ¼-½ inch thick, depending on how thick you’d like your patties. Use a 1-inch circle cookie cutter to cut out circles of dough. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and combine the scraps of dough. Roll out the remaining dough and cut out more patties until no dough is left.

Chill: Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and place the patties in the fridge to chill for an hour.

Preparing the Chocolate Coating

Chocolate Mixture: When the patties are nearly done chilling, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil to a medium-sized bowl. Heat in the microwave in 30-second increments. Stir between heating until all the chocolate is completely melted.

Coat: Use a fork to dip the chilled patties completely in the chocolate. Tap the fork on the side of the bowl to tap off the excess chocolate before transferring the pattie back to the baking sheet.

Chill and Serve: Let the patties chill for 30-40 minutes in the fridge, or until the chocolate is set. Keep chilled until serving.

Using Candy Melts

If you use candy melts instead of chocolate chips, omit the coconut oil. This will give you a harder shell of chocolate, but the candy melts will still melt nicely and be easy to dip in.

Tips and Variations

Make Them More Minty: The amount of peppermint can be adjusted according to your preferences, but the recipe card is written to have the patties have a strong peppermint flavor.

Additional Powdered Sugar: The amount of powdered sugar will vary depending on the humidity in your area. If necessary, add additional powdered sugar until the dough is not sticky and is like a soft playdough.

Adjust the Thickness to Your Liking! If you like a nice, thick peppermint treat then roll the dough closer to 1/2-inch rather than 1/4-inch. 1/4-inch will be thinner, like store-bought peppermint patties.

If You Don’t Have a Cookie Cutter: If you don’t have a 1-inch cookie cutter, I have seen people use a little medicine cup. It’s the perfect size and most people have one on hand. You can also use different sizes of circle cutters, it all depends on your preference.

Use Other Kinds of Chocolate: You may use milk chocolate or white chocolate if you prefer. Add a drizzle of chocolate over the top or sprinkle with festive sprinkles!

Storing Leftover Peppermint Patties

Store leftover peppermint patties in the fridge for up to 3 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Keep in an airtight plastic bag or in an airtight container. I love that these minty treats are both absolutely delicious and easy to store for later!

Ingredients to Make Cranberry Pecan Brie Bites

Nothing starts a party, special family gathering, or an everyday meal like the satisfying crunch from Fisher Nuts. Enjoy this easy-to-make cranberry pecan brie bites recipe this holiday season. See the recipe card at the bottom of the post for exact measurements.

Crescent dough: This will be rolled out and cut into sections that will fit into a mini muffin pan.

Fisher nuts chopped pecans: These are my favorite to use! They are a sweet and savory nut.

Wheel of brie: Any brie will work for this. It will be the star of the recipe!

Cranberry sauce: Keep it simple and purchase a can of cranberry sauce! Or, if you are feeling up for it, make this homemade Cranberry Sauce instead!

Sprigs of Rosemary: You can use these on top for a pop of color for garnish.

How to Make Brie Bites

This cranberry pecan brie bite recipe is simple to make and only has a few ingredients. It’s a tried and true recipe that you will want to make over and over again throughout the holiday season!

Prepare the crescent dough: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. On a floured surface roll out the crescent dough and pinch the seams. Then, cut the dough into 24 equal squares. In a mini muffin tin add the dough and press into each cup.

Layer ingredients: Add pecans to the bottom and then cut brie into small slices and press on top. Top with a dollop of cranberry.

Bake and add more pecans on top: Bake until they are golden for 15 minutes. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and sprinkled pecans.

How to Toast Pecans

I can’t get enough pecans in these cranberry pecan brie bites! Pecans are hidden on the bottom layer, and then there is an extra sprinkle of pecans on top. If you want a more toasted pecan taste, then here is a step-by-step recipe that is simple to use and only takes minutes.

Preheat: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Melt butter: Melt butter in a microwave-safe dish in your microwave or use a small saucepan on the stovetop.

Coat pecans: Evenly coat the pecans in the melted butter.

Spread on a baking sheet: Spread out the butter-coated pecans in a single layer on a non-stick cookie sheet.

Bake: Put the cookie sheet in the oven and then watch the pecans closely while they toast.

Toss: Toss the pecans once or twice while they are toasting. This allows for even toasting.

Continue baking: Toast the pecans until they are crisp and smell delicious. This will usually take about 10 to 15 minutes.

Tips for Making Cranberry Pecan Brie Bites

Using Toasted Pecans: If you like an added flavoring to your pecans, be sure to toast them. Wait for the nuts to cool before chopping. This will prevent them from getting pasty and oily.

Nuts: If pecans aren’t your thing, try using almonds or walnuts instead!

To Chop: Use a larger knife to chop the nuts. It’s easier to gain control over them than with a smaller knife. If you don’t have a large knife, then you can coarsely chop nuts without a knife by tapping the closed bag with the bottom of a small sauté pan to break the nuts up.

Puff Pastry: If you don’t have a crescent dough, you can use a puff pastry for this recipe.

Storing Cranberry Pecan Brie Bites

Can you make them ahead of time? Yes! This is great to make ahead of time before your party! Simply make and bake your bites. Then, place them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. If you like to serve them warm, place in the oven for 5 minutes to warm them up before serving them.

Freeze Them: Bake the bites and let them cool. Add them to an airtight container and freeze for up to 1 week before serving. When ready to serve, reheat in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until warmed through.

Recipe for Million Dollar Chicken Casserole

This million dollar chicken casserole is a true crowd-pleaser, even for the pickiest eaters! The combination of tender chicken, creamy sauce, and crispy Ritz cracker topping is so irresistible. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the textures are so satisfying. Plus it’s simple to throw together for busy weeknights!

I know what you’re thinking: this casserole sounds like it’s packed with calories. And you’re right, it is. But it’s so satisfying and delicious, it’s worth every one! The perfect comfort food. Plus, you can always lighten it up a bit by using low-fat or fat-free dairy products. (Trust me, though, the creamy, buttery sauce is what makes it so amazing!)

Ingredient List

The first step to making million dollar chicken casserole is to gather your ingredients. You will need boneless, skinless chicken, cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, Ritz crackers, dried parsley, and butter. Once you have all of your ingredients, you’re ready to start cooking! Just layer everything and pop it in the oven.

Boneless, Skinless Chicken: I used chicken breasts, but you can also use thighs if you prefer.

Cream Cheese: Soften the cream cheese to room temperature for easier mixing.

Cottage Cheese: Cottage cheese adds a creamy texture and a subtle tangy flavor to the casserole. You can also substitute it with ricotta cheese for a similar consistency.

Sour Cream: For a touch of acidity that makes the flavor so good!

Cream of Chicken Soup: Cream of chicken soup is the base of the sauce and provides a savory flavor. You could also use cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup instead to switch up the flavor.

Garlic Powder: Garlic powder adds a subtle garlicky flavor to the casserole. Use fresh minced garlic for more intense garlic flavor.

Onion Powder: So your million dollar chicken casserole has some extra savory flavor.

Ritz Crackers: Ritz crackers add a crispy topping to the million dollar chicken casserole. You can use other types of crackers, but Ritz crackers have a slightly salty flavor that complements the casserole well.

Dried Parsley: For a little extra flavor. Fresh parsley can be used instead.

Butter: Butter adds richness and flavor to the Ritz cracker topping. So tasty!

Million Dollar Chicken Casserole Recipe

This million dollar chicken casserole is a breeze to whip up. No fancy techniques or hard-to-find ingredients– just a handful of pantry staples and a few simple steps. The creamy sauce comes together effortlessly, and the Ritz cracker topping adds a delightful crunch that’s sure to impress even the pickiest eaters. Let’s get cooking!

Preheat Oven, Prepare Pan: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then spray a 9×9-inch casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Sauce Mixture: In a large bowl add the cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix to combine.

Add Chicken: Add the shredded chicken and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.

Crush Crackers: Add the crackers to a sealed Ziplock bag. Crush the crackers using a rolling pin or your hands.

Combine With Butter: In a medium bowl add the crushed crackers. Pour in the melted butter and stir to coat the crackers.

Add Topping: Sprinkle the casserole with the crushed Ritz cracker mixture.

Bake: Bake uncovered for 40 minutes until hot and bubbly.

Garnish: (Optional) Garnish with parsley if desired.

Cooking Tips

A few extra tips to keep in mind so your casserole turns out perfectly! I know you’re going to love this million dollar chicken casserole as much as I do.

For Easy Prep: Use rotisserie chicken! It’s so easy to pick up from the store and then shred for your casserole.

Use the Right Amount of Crackers: Too few crackers won’t provide enough crunch, while too many will make the topping too thick. Aim for a light and airy crumb.

Bake Until Golden Crown: Million dollar chicken casserole is done when the topping is golden brown and bubbly. If the topping is still pale, let it bake for a few more minutes.

Rest After Baking: This allows the flavors to meld and the casserole to set slightly.

Add a Garnish: Fresh parsley or chives add a pop of color and freshness to the dish.

Storing Leftovers

Good news- if you have any leftovers, they can be kept in the fridge and enjoyed later. This is one of those dishes that tastes just as good the next day!

In the Refrigerator: Leftover million dollar chicken casserole can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.

To Reheat: To reheat the casserole, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the casserole for 20-30 minutes, or until heated through. You can also reheat individual servings in the microwave.

Can Million Dollar Chicken Casserole Be Frozen?

Yes, million dollar chicken casserole can be frozen. To freeze the casserole, let it cool completely, then wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place the frozen casserole in a freezer-safe bag or container and freeze for up to 2 months. To thaw the casserole, place it in the refrigerator overnight. Then reheat as directed above.

Let’s Make Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Dip:

Grab those ingredients, and let’s mix everything together! The end result is rich, creamy, and absolutely irresistible. Little Debbie Christmas tree dip is the holiday dessert you didn’t know you needed! Delicious and so simple to make!

Prepare Cakes: Chop up the Christmas tree cakes into pieces and add to a large mixing bowl. Then add the cream cheese and vanilla extract. Beat with a hand mixer until smooth.

Mix in Whipped Topping: Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Then allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes to absorb into the cake mixture. Transfer to a serving bowl.

Add Sprinkles: Top with red and green sprinkles and an additional Christmas tree cake, if desired.

Enjoy: Serve with assorted cookies, pretzels, strawberries, or sliced apples.

Tips and Variations

This festive treat is not only easy to make, but easy to customize! These are a few simple ways to make it your own. Everyone will want some of this tasty holiday dip!

A Substitute for Whipped Topping: To use real whipped cream instead of whipped topping, whip 1 1/2 cups of cold heavy whipping cream and 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar to medium-stiff peaks. Use as directed in the recipe card.

Can I Use Other Snack Cakes? Of course! The amount of cakes you need to use will vary depending on the size of the cakes, but aim for about 12 ounces of cake in the dip.

Other Toppings: Instead of sprinkles, try crushed graham crackers, vanilla wafers, mini chocolate chips, animal crackers, you name it!

Storing Leftovers

This Christmas tree dip can be made up to 1 day ahead of serving. This will give the cakes plenty of time to absorb the whipped topping and set nicely. (This makes it even more delicious!

In the Refrigerator: The dip can keep for up to 4 days in the fridge as long as it’s covered with plastic wrap or in a sealed airtight container.

Can Christmas Tree Dip Be Frozen?

I don’t recommend freezing this dip. Whipped topping does not do well in the freezer once it’s been thawed and used in a recipe. The texture of the dip won’t turn out well if it is frozen. So enjoy it fresh or refrigerate it if you have any leftovers!

It’s also tradition to make our favorite breakfast casserole for Christmas morning, and Beef Wellington for Christmas dinner.

Christmas Salad Ingredients

Full of fresh and festive ingredients, this Christmas salad is everything your holiday menu needs. You are going to love the flavors and textures bursting in every bite! And the orange vinaigrette takes this salad over the top!

Salad

Mixed Greens: Spinach, arugula, or a spring mix of lettuces. I love mixing greens because of the different textures.

Red onion: The flavor of onion is always a perfect salad ingredient.

Pomegranate Seeds: Juicy and seasonal pomegranate seeds burst in every bite. Buy a container of pomegranate arils in the produce section to make it easy!

Feta Cheese: Crumbled feta is my favorite, but try blue cheese, goat cheese, or parmesan cheese.

Candied Pecans: Sweet candied pecans add great texture and crunch to the Christmas salad. Candied walnuts or almonds would also be delicious!

Orange Vinaigrette

Orange Zest: Adds a pop of orange flavor to the vinaigrette! Orange is a classic winter flavor that is perfect for the holidays.

Orange Juice: Fresh squeezed is best, but store-bought juice is easy to use.

Apple Cider Vinegar: The acidity of vinegar brightens and balances the flavors in the vinaigrette.

Honey: The sweetness of the dressing balances out the citrus and vinegar.

Dijon Mustard: Adds creaminess and flavor to the vinaigrette.

Poppyseeds: I love adding poppyseed to vinaigrettes and it’s also a fun texture.

Kosher Salt: Season to taste to help balance out all of the flavors.

Olive Oil: The base of the vinaigrette.

Christmas Salad Recipe

Assembling this beautiful Christmas salad is easy and it comes together quickly. Once you layer the ingredients in a bowl all you have left is to make the dressing. Make the dressing ahead of time and it’s easy to serve when you’re ready!

Add the Salad Ingredients to a Large Bowl: Place the mixed greens, red onion slices, orange segments, pomegranate seeds, feta cheese, and candied pecans in a large bowl.

Combine the Dressing Ingredients: Blend or whisk together all of the dressing ingredients until smooth.

Toss the Dressing With the Salad: Just before serving, drizzle the dressing over the salad then gently toss.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy!

Variations

This Christmas salad is super straightforward to make, and also so easy to switch up the flavors. This salad recipe will forever have a place on my holiday menu because it’s so beautiful and festive. I know you’ll love it too! Here are some variations to try.

Add Protein: To add some protein to this salad to make it heartier. Crumbled bacon, hard-boiled eggs, or grilled chicken breast would be delicious!

Switch Up the Fruit: Add berries, pears, or apples to this salad. I love to stick with seasonal fruits because it is a seasonal salad.

Dried Fruit: Dried fruit would be a lovely addition. Dried cranberries or dried blueberries would be my first choice!

Nuts: The nuts don’t have to be candied, but I love the sweetness it adds.

Dressing: Even though the orange vinaigrette is perfect on this salad, it’s fun to experiment with other dressing flavors! I would recommend this balsamic vinaigrette or my apple cider vinaigrette.

Storing Leftover Salad

If you plan on making this salad ahead of time, I recommend storing the salad and dressing separately so the greens don’t wilt. I like to have all of the salad ingredients ready to go and then I assemble it right before serving.

In the Refrigerator: Enjoy Christmas salad fresh or keep it refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days. The orange vinaigrette can be kept on its own in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

Danish Kringle

This Danish Kringle is full of almond flavor, baked until golden, and then drizzled with a vanilla glaze. This can be eaten for breakfast or dessert, and everyone will love it!

I love a delicious baked Danish. Check out some more of my favorites like this Cheese Danish, this Apple Danish or this yummy Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish!

What is a Danish Kringle?

A Danish Kringle is a delicious pastry that comes from Denmark. It is made with a buttery dough that is filled with a creamy filling. The dough is shaped into an oval (this recipe makes 2!), baked until golden, and then topped with a sweet almond vanilla frosting.

This Danish Kringle is a copycat of the classic Kringle that Trader Joe’s sells around Christmastime! My kids go crazy over this treat, and if they are lucky, they can eat it for dessert or breakfast! You’ve got to try it. I love using my homemade marzipan in this recipe to make it even more delicious!

Ingredients in a Danish Kringle

These ingredients are classic, and you probably have most of them in your pantry! Check out the recipe card at the bottom of the post for all of the exact measurements.

Dough

Bread Flour: This helps give this Danish Kringle the perfect texture.

Sugar: This is what makes the recipe sweet!

Active Dry Yeast: 1 packet is just the right amount!

Salt: The salt enhances all of the flavors in the dough.

Butter: I use unsalted butter in this recipe. Keep it in the fridge so it stays cold until you use it.

Milk: I use whole milk in this recipe.

Egg: This helps bind all of the ingredients together.

Filling

Marzipan: You can make this from scratch with this marzipan recipe, or you can buy it pre-made from the store to save time!

Egg wash

Egg White and Water: Mixing these two ingredients will create an egg wash to make this Danish Kringle nice and golden brown.

Frosting

Powdered Sugar: This creates a sweet flavor that dissolves easily, making it nice and creamy.

Water: This helps turn the sugar into a glaze.

Vanilla and Almond Extract: These flavor the frosting, adding to that almond flavor.

Sliced Almonds: These are optional and can be used as a topping on this Danish Kringle.

How to Make A Danish Kringle at Home

This recipe makes TWO kringles so it’s perfect for serving a crowd. You can even make the dough ahead of time and bake it fresh when you are ready!

Make the Dough

Mix Dry Ingredients with Butter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Pour the flour mixture, along with the cubed butter, into a food processor fitted with the blade attachment.

Pulse: Pulse the food processor until the butter has been evenly distributed and nearly broken down. You should still see some small chunks of butter throughout.

Combine: In a large bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Add the flour mixture to the liquids and, using a wooden spoon, stiff spatula, or your hands, mix the wet and dry ingredients together thoroughly.

Knead and Chill: Knead the dough together and shape it into a long rectangle. Cut the dough in half lengthwise. Place the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Roll the Dough: Once the dough has chilled, place it on a lightly floured surface, and using a rolling pin, roll each section of dough out into a long rectangle, about 6 by 24 inches.

Add the Filling

Prep: While the dough is chilling, preheat an oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare 2 baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.

Roll Marzipan: Separate the marzipan in half, roll each half out to the length of the dough, and smash it slightly flat. Lay the marzipan into each section of dough. If it is a little too long after flattening, you can trim it to fit inside the dough.

Fold: Fold one side of the dough over the marzipan and the remaining section of dough over the top of that, using a bit of water to secure the seam. Flip the kringle over to place the seam on the bottom.

Shape into Oval: Shape each length of the kringle into an oval, joining the ends together by fitting one side into the end of the other, and seal the seam with a bit of water. (My ovals were about 12 by 9 inches from the longest points to the widest points).

Bake: Place each kringle on its own sheet pan, egg wash the top of each kringle, and bake them one at a time for 20-25 minutes until the kringle is golden brown. Keep the kringle in the fridge while it waits to bake.

Make the Glaze

Whisk: Once the kringles are fully baked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool to room temperature. While they are cooling, make the frosting by whisking together the powdered sugar, water, almond, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.

Drizzle: Once the kringles are cooled, drizzle the frosting across each kringle, sprinkle the sliced almonds across the tops, and enjoy!

Variations

This Danish Kringle is so delicious as is, but you can easily change it up to make it your own!

Change the filling: This kringle is a classic almond kringle, but you can get creative and use other fillings such as cherry pie filling, apple pie filling, pumpkin, cheesecake, and more!

Save time: If you are short on time, store-bought marzipan can be used instead of homemade marzipan.

Storing Leftovers

This Danish Kringle can last a few days (if you don’t eat it all in one night!), and here is how you can store it properly.

Storing your baked Danish Kringle: Keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or in the fridge for a week.

Can I make this ahead of time? Yes! The kringle can be assembled and kept covered in the fridge overnight and baked fresh the next day.

Easy Pizza Salad

This fresh and hearty pizza salad has all of the delicious flavors of classic pizza but without the crust. This healthier, low-carb version of a slice of pepperoni pizza fresh out of the box is loaded with delicious ingredients that will make you come back for more!

I love creating new and unique salads! I load them with satisfying ingredients that are both nutritious and super tasty. This La Scala chopped salad is always a favorite! Or, try this cheeseburger salad or this classic Spaghetti Salad that everyone loves!

What is Pizza Salad?

Pizza salad is an irresistible combination of salad ingredients that tastes just like pizza! This is one salad that even the kiddos can get on board with being served. Not only is it really tasty, it’s quick and easy to make and really filling, too. Plus, I add in some crunchy croutons to take the place of pizza crust.

This pizza salad can definitely be served as the main dish because everything is already on the plate! However, it also makes a really delicious side served with bubble pizza, pizza monkey bread, or with a pasta dish like 10-minute pesto pasta!

What Ingredients are in Pizza Salad?

This pizza salad recipe is filled with simple, refreshing ingredients and it comes together way faster than an actual pizza. You’re going to want to add this to the regular menu rotation! Check out the recipe card at the bottom of the post for exact measurements.

Romaine Lettuce: I love romaine lettuce for crisp, crunchy texture and bright green color!

Black Olives: I add these in for a tart flavor. You can get the pre-sliced ones to save some time!

Red Onions: These give the salad a pop of flavor and color.

Pepperoncinis: Zesty pepperoncini peppers add so much flavor. However, if they’re not your thing, you can totally leave them out.

Grape Tomatoes: You can also use cherry tomatoes if you have those instead!

Pepperoni Slices: Buy mini pepperonis or slice regular pepperoni in half so that you have the classic pizza taste in every bite.

Green Bell Pepper: For a little extra texture and crunch!

Mozzarella Cheese: You can shred this from the block or use pre-shredded cheese.

Parmesan Cheese: I use freshly grated parmesan cheese (not the cheese from the green can) in this recipe.

Croutons: These add a delicious crunch! Try making some from scratch with this homemade crouton recipe.

Pizza Seasoning: To give this salad a classic pizza flavor, make your own pizza seasoning!

Italian Dressing: I love this homemade Italian dressing! It’s easy to make and tastes so yummy!

Red Pepper Flakes: Finish the salad with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.

How to Make Pizza Salad

This is a great recipe to make on busy weeknights when you need to get a quick meal on the table. It’s quick and easy to prep the veggies, toss it with the dressing and serve!

Combine Salad Ingredients: Prep all of the salad ingredients and add them to a large mixing bowl.

Add Dressing: Drizzle the salad with dressing and gently toss until well coated.

Serve: Garnish with red pepper flakes and enjoy!

Variations

I love this recipe as-is! But one of the best things about pizza salad is that it’s easy to change up to make it perfect for you! Here are some tasty suggestions:

Lettuce: I like romaine lettuce best because it has a great texture! But you can use iceberg or spinach if you prefer.

Add More Meat: Try adding in some bite-sized salami, bacon, cubed chicken, or some sausage!

Remove the Meat: You could also make this vegetarian by removing the meat, especially if you serve it as a side dish.

Cheese: Try using provolone or asiago. You can usually find a five-cheese Italian blend at the store, too!

Add-Ins: Other ingredients that would be delicious are sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives, chopped artichokes or freshly sliced mushrooms.

Swap Dressing: Try this copycat Olive Garden salad dressing or some ranch dressing. They will make this salad so delicious!

Make Ahead Tips and Storing

To make serving this pizza salad super quick and easy, you can assemble it beforehand. Here’s how:

To Make Ahead: Prep all of the ingredients except the dressing, pepperoncini, and croutons. Place in a large bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for up 8 hours ahead.  Just before serving, toss the ingredients and add in the pepperoncini, croutons, and dressing.

Store Leftovers: If you think you will have leftovers, I recommend serving the croutons and the dressing on the side, letting each person top their own salad. Store leftover pizza salad in the refrigerator in an airtight container. It will last 1-2 days (longer if there is no dressing on it)

Fried Green Beans Recipe

These fried green beans are so crunchy and delicious! Also known as green bean fries, this recipe is quick and easy and your entire family will love them!

I first tried these green bean fries at P.F. Changs and couldn’t get enough of them! But going out to eat isn’t always an option, so I wanted to recreate them at home. This recipe not only turned out delicious but, in my opinion, even better than the originals! Serve them with this Super Easy Mongolian Beef , and these Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps, and it will be just like eating out but better (not to mention WAY more leftovers)!

Ingredients You Need

Fresh green beans, a few ingredients to make the batter, and voila! You have yourself the most delicious, breaded green beans! Check out the recipe card at the bottom of the post for all of the exact measurements.

Green Beans: Trim off the ends of your green beans and wash them well before using them in this recipe.

Flour: I used all-purpose flour for these green beans.

Cornstarch: This will help you achieve that fried outside edge.

Egg: I always use large eggs when I am cooking.

Club Soda: Keep this in the fridge until you are ready to use it so that it’s nice and cold.

Vegetable Oil: This is what you will fry the green beans in.

Salt and Pepper: You can use coarse salt or garlic salt to flavor the beans.

How to Fry Green Beans

This recipe whips up in less than 20 minutes from start to finish. These breaded and crispy green beans are what appetizer dreams are made of!

Prep: Heat the oil to 375 degrees Fahrenheit in a large saucepan or deep fryer. Wash and trim the ends of the green beans.

Mix the dry ingredients: To a medium-sized bowl, add the flour and cornstarch and whisk to combine.

Beat the egg: In another bowl, beat the egg, then stir in the club soda.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients: Add the liquid mixture to the flour mixture, then whisk it to combine.

Dip and fry: Dip each green bean into the batter, then place it in the pot of oil. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden in color. Remove from the oil and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Repeat the steps until all the green beans are cooked.

Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper. Serve with sriracha mayo or your favorite dipping sauce.

What do you dip Fried Green Beans in?

I personally love to dip green bean fries in sriracha sauce! You could also dip them in ranch dressing , honey mustard or even fry sauce!

How to Store and Reheat Leftovers

You can store any leftover green beans in an airtight container in the fridge, and they will last for 2-3 days. To reheat fried green beans and get them nice and crispy again, you can reheat them in the air fryer or in the oven. Don’t use the microwave, or they will be soggy.

Cookie Butter (Trader Joe’s Copycat)

If you love Trader Joe’s and you love their cookie butter, you are going to LOVE this recipe. This homemade version tastes exactly like it (except better), and then you can have it on hand all year long!

What is Cookie Butter?

If you haven’t had cookie butter yet, then you are in for the most delicious treat! Made from biscoff cookies, milk, sugar, and cinnamon, this delicious spread makes everything taste better!

This recipe is creamy, delicious, and better than Trader Joe’s! In fact, this recipe is so easy you can make it whenever you want and save yourself a trip to the store! Try using this on cinnamon rolls (instead of the frosting), in an ice cream sundae, or even mix it into your oatmeal!

Ingredients in Cookie Butter

There are only 4 ingredients you need to make cookie butter! So if you love the flavor of biscoff, this recipe is easy and delicious. Check out the recipe card at the bottom of the post for all of the exact measurements.

Biscoff Cookies: This is the entire base of the butter and will give it that classic biscoff flavor!

Evaporated Milk: This will help make the butter nice and creamy.

Powdered Sugar: This adds a sweet flavor and nice texture to the butter.

Ground Cinnamon: This complements the Biscoff perfectly!

How to Make Homemade Cookie Butter

If you have a mixer or food processor, this recipe will be a breeze! It comes together in less than 5 minutes!

Combine and Mix: Add all the ingredients to a food processor or blender and mix until smooth. Scrape down the sides and bottom as needed.

Store: Transfer to a jar or airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Easy Tips and Substitutions

This Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter Copycat recipe is so easy, and you can easily substitute ingredients if you don’t have certain ones on hand.

Can I substitute the milk? Yes! You can substitute the evaporated milk with regular milk, nut milk, or oat milk, but I recommend adding a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract if choosing to substitute.

Use an immersion blender: For ultra-smooth cookie butter, use an immersion blender to blend it again so every last crumb of cookie is pulverized. It can also help to allow the cookies to sit in the milk for a few minutes before blending.

What do you serve cookie butter with? Spread it on toast, waffles, cookies, apple slices, and English muffins, or eat it with just a spoon!

Storing Leftovers

This cookie butter lasts a long time so whipe it up, store it and enjoy it for weeks at a time!

In the Refrigerator: Transfer tthe cookie butter into a jar or airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Grinch Fudge

This delicious Grinch Fudge is easy to make and festive enough for any holiday gathering. Top it with red hearts, and voilà – a yummy treat that might just make your heart grow bigger!

I LOVE fudge recipes! There are so many different combinations and flavors. It’s all so delicious! Check out my favorite Fantasy Fudge, this festive Eggnog Fudge or this simple Cookies and Cream Fudge.

Homemade Grinch Fudge Recipe

Watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is a holiday tradition at our house and I try each year to make a new treat to go with that fun story! This year, this Grinch fudge was a HIT!

So delicious and easy to make, this will be the hit of any holiday party. It even has little heart sprinkles to really take it up a notch. If you want to make even more Grinch treats to add to the table, try out this yummy Grinch punch or these Grinch cookies that your kids will love, too!

What Ingredients Are in Grinch Fudge?

This recipe is made up of simple, pantry staple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen! Check out the recipe card at the bottom of the post for all of the exact measurements.

White Chocolate Chips: I always like to use Ghiradelli chocolate chips when I am baking. They are so smooth and creamy.

Marshmallow Cream: This binds all of the ingredients together to give it a fudge texture.

Vanilla: This splash of sweet flavor may turn your white mixture a bit tan, but that’s ok! It will taste the same!

Sugar: This makes the Grinch fudge taste nice and sweet.

Evaporated Milk: If you don’t have this on hand, you can use heavy cream instead.

Butter: I used unsalted butter in this recipe.

Bright Green Gel Food Coloring: I use this food coloring, but if you can’t find it, liquid green and yellow food coloring will mix up just fine!

Red Heart Sprinkles: This final touch really takes this recipe over the top!

How to Make Grinch Fudge

You will love how this fudge turns out. It’s so creamy and delicious!

Prep: Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and set aside.

Add chocolate, marshmallow, and vanilla: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and vanilla. Set aside.

Boil: In a medium-sized, heavy-bottomed saucepan, add the sugar, evaporated milk, and butter. Heat over medium, stirring with a wooden spoon to combine the ingredients. Once it comes to a low boil, stop stirring and let it boil for 10 minutes without stirring it. Don’t be alarmed if the mixture looks a little caramelized in color.

Combine: After 10 minutes, remove the sugar mixture from the heat and pour over the white chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and vanilla. Let this sit together for a few minutes before stirring with the wooden spoon to incorporate the ingredients.

Add food coloring: Add a few drops of bright green gel food coloring and beat with an electric mixer on medium-low speed until almost set. Add more food coloring as needed to get a bright, Grinchy green.

Pour into pan and add sprinkles: Pour into your prepared 8×8-inch pan and top with heart sprinkles. Place into the fridge for a couple of hours to set. Once set, remove from the fridge. Use the parchment paper to lift the fudge from the pan and cut into 1 ½ inch squares.

How to Make Green Food Coloring

The best green food coloring for the Grinch green is this neon green food coloring, but it’s easy to mix up a good color if you don’t have time to buy this! You can make this color with green and yellow liquid food coloring that most of us have on hand!

Add several squirts of yellow coloring to a small bowl, then add 4-5 drops of green.

Stir together and then drip a few drops of the mixed color to a small bowl of water to test the shade of green. Add more yellow or green as needed for your desired shade of Grinch green.

Once you’re satisfied with the color, use the color in the recipe as directed.

Tips and Tricks

This delicious and cute Grinch Fudge is perfect for any occasion. Here are a few frequently asked questions that I have answered to make sure yours turns out just right!

Use a Candy Thermometer: to make your life easier, you can use a candy thermometer! Cook the fudge until it reaches 234-237 degrees Fahrenheit and then remove it from the heat.

Use a Wooden Spoon: Wood is a poor conductor of heat, so it won’t affect the cooking temperature of the sugar and won’t cause accidental crystalization.

Why is my fudge grainy? Fudge turns out grainy because it was stirred, and sugar crystals were formed. To achieve a nice silky texture, do not stir the fudge once it simmers. Instead, stir only until it simmers and then stop completely. Only resume stirring once it has cooled slightly in the bowl with the chocolate chips.

Use a Hand Mixer: For best results, use the hand mixer until the fudge loses its shine and becomes matte. Then, pour it into the pan. Top with sprinkles quickly, as they have trouble sticking to the fudge as it cools. You may press the sprinkles into the fudge a little to ensure they will stick as it sets.

Why is my white chocolate fudge a tan color? Don’t worry if your fudge isn’t white but more of a tan. This could be because of two things: the caramelization of the mixture or if you used a dark vanilla extract. Both are totally normal and won’t change the flavor. Plus, you won’t be able to tell after you add the green food coloring!

Storing Leftovers

You can store leftover fudge in an airtight container or wrapped tightly in plastic wrap for up to 5 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge. It will still be edible after that time, but it may become dry and crumbly.

In a medium-sized, heavy-bottomed saucepan add the sugar, evaporated milk, and butter. Heat over medium, stirring with a wooden spoon to combine the ingredients. Once it comes to a low boil, stop stirring and let it boil for 10 minutes without stirring it. Don’t be alarmed if the mixture begins to look a little caramelized in color.
After 10 minutes, remove the sugar mixture from the heat and pour over the white chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and vanilla. Let this sit together for a few minutes before stirring with the wooden spoon to incorporate the ingredients.
Add a few drops of bright green gel food coloring and beat with an electric mixer on medium-low speed until almost set. Add more food coloring as needed to get a bright, Grinch green.
Pour into your prepared 8×8-inch pan and top with heart sprinkles. Place into the fridge for a couple of hours to set. Once set, remove from the fridge Use the parchment paper to lift the fudge from the pan and cut into 1 ½ inch squares.
